FINAL FROM CEDAR RAPIDS: Helldorados Continues Their Winning Ways Knocking Off Bleeding Heartland

Reports of the demise of the Cedar Rapids Rollergirls, after a difficult 5 player exodus following the June Mid Iowa Bout, are not only exaggerated, they are flat wrong.

CRRG: Helldorados captured their second win in a row after the split on Saturday night at the U.S. Cellular Center with a 122-109 victory over the Bleeding Heartland: Code Blue Assassins.

On an interesting side note, Bleeding Heartland was founded by Motley Cruel, who went on to be the founder of the Cedar Rapids Rollergirls. Motley Cruel served as co-bench coach for the Helldorados Saturday night.

  1. The Helldorados made a commitment. They Made a commitment to play as a team thru thick and thin. Although their commitment was tested saturday night by the loss off key players to injury and sickness, they perservered and celebrated as one cohesive unit.
It was my privelage to co-bench coach along side of Motley Cruel. It is also my privelage to lead some of the hardest working women in Iowa thru some grueling 2 - 3 hour practices. If it wasn't for the commitment to hard work, teamwork, and trust they would not have been able to be this successful.
Good Job ladies, I'm proud of you for sticking together and proving the nay-sayers wrong.
2 more to win before the mission is complete!
